It can be said that the largest portion of job employment recruiters often state that they do not read cover letters and in essence cover letters are a ” waste of time”. Still you never know. Its a numbers games – look at Microsoft Windows 1/10 of a 1/ 10 of a percent translates into a lot of customers and a lot of cash income.

It can also be said “Son look in your own order book”. Many people got their jobs because of their cover letters.

Not having a cover letter can translate to the second group that either you are not thorough , sloppy , lazy or all of the above. You do not want to be tarred with a bad brush. No job offer for you – ever. Never make the assumption that the person who screens the resumes and sets up initial interviews does not read cover letters. Cover yourself and your job prospects with a well done cover letter.
